Earle Bower

See me® wear™ was started by Earle Bower, a retired businessman and long time cyclist; who lives in North Carolina and rides year round. After close calls with motorists he realized that many drivers simply don’t see cyclists, or see them too late. They’re looking for motor vehicles, not the slim profile of a rider. Many cyclists don’t seem aware of this and wear dark clothing, making them even harder to see. In shade they become almost invisible.

Further, drivers, by simply claiming that they didn’t see the cyclist after an accident, are often allowed to walk away, with no consequences whatsoever.

A rash of local cyclist deaths where the driver claimed to never see the cyclist in broad daylight prompted Earle to develop cycling wear specifically for the greatest possible visibility to help with both problems: 1. Making the cyclist much more visible to drivers. 2. Eliminating the excuse that the driver never saw the rider. If the driver didn’t see the cyclist in see me wear, the driver wasn’t looking at the road.

See me wear garments are made in the U.S.A., right here in North Carolina and are comparable in quality to custom bicycle wear. Every garment is unconditionally guaranteed.
